Welcome to Soulful Expressions, our mission is simple yet profound: to help Create, Inspire, and Heal through art therapy. The creative process of making art can be healing and therapeutic. Art allows us to connect more deeply within and express ourselves freely, beyond the constraints of words through engaging in active art-making. This can help us become more self-aware and gain deeper insight into our values, behavior-patterns, and emotions. Meet the Therapist

Fatema Qutbuddin is an art therapist who is passionate in her commitment to serving humanity. She works with individuals and groups, from 5 to 75 years of age, bringing her sincerity and expertise to support their deep well-being (growth/healing) and flourishing/empowerment.

She is a zealous and hard-working, an enthusiastic learner, and a compassionate human being, offering empathy and understanding to her clients, who creatively work with themselves to produce changes within, which better their life internally and externally. Adept in practicing healthy and wholesome communication and interpersonal skills, and blessed with the strength of pure intention to be of service to her fellow human beings, Fatema is immensely skilled in her profession, and her love of spirituality and deep passion for art enrich her work.

Fatema completed her schooling in India and went for her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology to the American University in Cairo, then to Harvard University as an exchange student. She then pursued a degree in Fine Arts in Rachna Sansad, Mumbai, followed by a Master’s degree in Art Therapy from MIT, Pune.

Fatema has travelled across parts of rural India and worked closely with community members, especially adolescent girls, and women, to counsel them on various problems and issues for 15 years. Fatema also acted as a Grant facilitating officer, processing and acceptance of petitions from community members applying for educational scholarships, medical grants, and housing loans through Dawat-e-Hadiya Trusts.

In the therapy space, Fatema integrates her theoretical knowledge with her lived (practical) experience, particularly in the fields of education, counseling and women empowerment.
